Steve believes in community involvement, giving back, and giving of himself, according to the gifts that God has equipped him with. Here are just a few of the organizations and efforts that Steve and his family devote time to:
President of the Southeastern Michigan Airstream Club (SEMAC), which fosters camaraderie and community among diverse Airstream enthusiasts, bringing together individuals and families from across Michigan to enjoy camping, rallies, and gatherings year-round.
Board member of the WBCCI Foundation, which leads efforts to make a global and local impact by partnering with non-profits and managing legacy programs like Common Cents for Kids, ensuring that the Airstream community leaves a positive mark wherever they go.
Member since 2010. Program and Speaker Coordinator 2011-2014. Coordinator of quarterly dinner service program at Ronald McDonald House Ann Arbor. Co-Chair of the committee that acquired a new Popcorn Wagon in 2013. President for the 2014/15 club year.
Finance Committee Chairman - 2010-2012. Shepherded the financial matters of a 1,000 member church and annual budget of approximately $1M, through one of the more challenging economic periods of recent history. Co-Chaired a capital campaign to raise an additional $300K to address building and facility needs.
Volunteer and financial sponsor/supporter of this non-profit organization that provides grief counseling services to families and individuals in need in South Eastern, Michigan. Steve has been a board member since 2015.
Chairperson for Speaker Event, responsible for identifying, acquiring and organizing all activities related to 2 days of programing in the Penn Theater. Provided additional talent and expertise with respect to budgeting, fund raising, and service activity planning. (Inaugural event in August 2014)
The Supervisory Committee (member from 2013-2023) is responsible for ensuring that the Board of Directors and Management establish policies and practices that safeguard the members’ interests and rights. They also carry out a continuing series of audits to ensure that records are maintained properly, honestly, and accurately; that policies established by the Board are carried out faithfully; & that member concerns are promptly addressed & resolved.
